In the coming months, the Come Hear NC Music Office will be publishing a series of genre primers. These primers will serve as clear but thorough guides to each major stream of North Carolinian music. Each will include a rundown of the genre’s prominent and unsung figures and chart the historical transformations of characteristic forms and movements. The first of these primers, on North Carolina Rap, is available now on the NC Arts Council site. 🔗 Link in bio.
