The Blue Ridge Parkway is known as “America’s Favorite Drive,” and in a few days, one of America’s favorite events, located right off the Parkway in Floyd, Virginia, begins. FloydFest 19 organizers will open the gates July 24th and welcome fans from all of the world. They’ll enjoy a five-day celebration of music and art, while basking in the beauty of the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest Virginia. Oh yeah… they’ll be entertained by 100 performers, musicians, storytellers, and poets, on nine stages featuring a wide variety of music formats including rock, bluegrass, reggae, folk, Yiddish, Cajun, or Zydeco, African, Appalachian, Americana and more.

FloydFesters say the 2019 theme, “Voyage Home,” speaks to “returning to the source of where we all come from, Mother Earth – it is there where we find ourselves most at home.”

The good folks at FloydFest offer guests on-site camping and in addition to all of the music, the festival also features local arts and crafts, dance workshops, morning yoga lessons, and a “Children’s Universe” tent.

The lineup includes The String Cheese Incident, Phil Lesh and Terrapin Family Band, Kacey Musgraves, Brandi Carlile, Tyler Childers, Leftover Salmon, Margo Price, Fantastic Negrito, Lukas Nelson and The Promise of The Real, Hot Tuna, Keller Williams Grateful Grass featuring Love Canon, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, The Motet, Jade Bird, The War and Treaty, Kyle Hollingsworth Band, American Aquarium, DJ Williams’ Shots Fired, Acoustic Syndicate, Buffalo Mountain Jam V4, Songs From The Road Band, Kaleta and Super Yamba Band and much more!
